In a major push to expand its hospitality offerings across India, The Oberoi Group has announced the development of four new luxury hotels. The announcement was made during the 75th Annual General Meeting of EIH Limited, the flagship company behind the Oberoi and Trident brands. This strategic move is designed to strengthen the group’s presence in both high-demand urban hubs and serene leisure destinations.

The new projects will see the group stepping into Goa, Hyderabad, Gujarat and Bengaluru with premium properties. Among the highlights is The Oberoi, Gir, a luxury retreat near Gir National Park, designed to offer an immersive wildlife experience within a 40-acre mango orchard. In Hyderabad, The Oberoi will open a 220-room hotel in the bustling Knowledge City. Bengaluru will welcome a new Trident property in Nandi Hills, a location already popular for weekend getaways and scenic views. And in Goa, a 170-room Trident hotel will come up near the iconic Fort Aguada, blending coastal charm with luxury comfort.

The announcement is part of a much larger expansion plan. The Oberoi Group is currently developing 25 projects, which include 22 hotels and three luxury cruise vessels.

These will be spread across both India and international markets including Bhutan, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, London and Egypt. By 2030, 18 of these properties will be under the Oberoi brand while seven will operate as Trident hotels, collectively adding over two thousand rooms to the global portfolio.

The group's approach to expansion is deeply rooted in research and vision. Arjun Oberoi, Executive Chairman of The Oberoi Group, described the strategy as focused on curating exceptional guest experiences while staying true to their long-standing values of excellence, care and integrity. Chief Executive Officer Vikram Oberoi added that this growth is built on strong consumer insights and long-term planning.

As the hospitality landscape in India continues to evolve, The Oberoi Group’s consistent focus on luxury, sustainability and heritage positions it as a brand that not only grows but leads with purpose.
