A First For India

In a landmark move that combines sports, luxury, and hospitality, Omaxe Ltd has partnered with IHCL, the parent company of Taj Hotels, to create an iconic development in Dwarka. The centrepiece will be a Gateway branded hotel with 158 keys, including 40 ultra-exclusive suites offering direct views of live cricket and football matches inside a new 30,000-seater stadium built to ICC and FIFA standards. This marks the first time in India that luxury accommodation will be integrated within a sporting venue, giving fans and travellers an unmatched experience.

Elite Members-Only Club

Adding to the grandeur, IHCL will also operate a sprawling 250,000 square foot private club, among the largest in the country. Designed to rival world-class facilities like The Bay Club in Mumbai and elite city clubs in London and Dubai, this space will host fine-dining restaurants, luxury lounges, Olympic-standard pools, a spa and wellness centre, co-working hubs, business lounges, indoor and outdoor sports courts, boxing and gymnastics arenas, a bowling alley, library, and extensive banqueting halls. With such premium offerings, the club is set to become a hotspot for Delhi’s elite and global travellers alike.

The Omaxe State Vision

Spread across 50.4 acres, The Omaxe State has been developed under a PPP model with the Delhi Development Authority and is divided into five themed districts: Sports, Hospitality, Food, Social, and Shopping. Located near Bharat Vandana Park and Asia’s largest convention centre Yashobhoomi, this mega project is expected to become a cultural and business hub, drawing visitors from across the world. The development aims to attract footfalls comparable to international icons like the Dubai Mall and London’s Olympic Park.

Economic And Social Impact

The project is expected to generate around Rs 4,200 crore in revenue during its lifecycle and create thousands of jobs in hospitality, retail, and events. With a catchment area of nearly 30 lakh residents within a 10 km radius, it will not only boost tourism but also redefine lifestyle and entertainment for Delhi-NCR. Omaxe Managing Director Mohit Goel called the collaboration “Delhi’s most ambitious destination,” while IHCL highlighted the integration of global luxury standards with Indian hospitality.

What To Expect By 2027

With completion scheduled for 2027, The Omaxe State will soon become a landmark destination where luxury hospitality meets world-class sport and lifestyle. Imagine waking up to a live international cricket match from your suite balcony or unwinding at an exclusive club offering curated experiences rivaling the best in the world.
