A Major Boost For Rajasthan
Air India Express has officially announced the launch of daily direct services from Jodhpur and Udaipur to Delhi and Bengaluru, starting November 1, 2025. With these additions, the airline has expanded its reach to 60 destinations in India and abroad. The move also places three major Rajasthani cities on its map, with Jaipur already operating 75 weekly flights connecting eight Indian cities and Dubai.
The timing could not be better, as Jodhpur and Udaipur are among Rajasthan’s most popular tourism hotspots. Jodhpur, famously known as the Blue City, attracts travellers with its majestic Mehrangarh Fort, bustling markets, and cultural charm. Udaipur, often called the City of Lakes, enchants visitors with its palaces, shimmering waters, and romantic ambience. By directly connecting these cities to India’s busiest hubs, Air India Express is expected to further boost tourism, cultural exchange, and trade in the region.
Strengthening National Connectivity
The addition of Jodhpur and Udaipur comes as part of Air India Express’s Winter Schedule 2025, which includes new operations launched this year to Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Dimapur, Hindon, Kathmandu, North Goa, Patna, and Phuket. With a growing fleet of 115 aircraft, the airline is steadily increasing its presence in both metro and regional markets.
From Bengaluru, the airline now runs over 440 weekly flights to 36 domestic and four international destinations, while from Delhi, it operates 288 weekly flights to 20 domestic and four international points. With additional one-stop connections, passengers gain access to an even wider network, making Air India Express one of the most reliable options for both business and leisure travellers.
More Than Just Flights
Air India Express is not just expanding its network but also celebrating India’s cultural heritage through its Tales of India initiative. The airline’s aircraft liveries feature traditional art forms such as Danka embroidery, Pichwai painting, and Sanganeri block printing, giving passengers a glimpse of India’s rich craft traditions before they even land.
Travellers can also explore Air India Express’s Xpress Holidays platform, which offers curated holiday packages including accommodation, transport, and activities. This initiative allows passengers to plan entire vacations in one place, making travel seamless and convenient.
What This Means For Travellers
For Rajasthan, these new routes mean greater accessibility and exposure, particularly during the festive and tourist seasons when demand for travel spikes. For passengers in Delhi and Bengaluru, it offers quick and direct access to two of India’s most culturally rich and picturesque cities. For Air India Express, it solidifies its role as a key connector bridging metros with regional jewels, while also continuing to grow internationally.
With its expanded reach, Air India Express is clearly positioning itself as a carrier that blends affordability with accessibility and cultural pride.
